Venezia II – Evolution
About two years ago we took the decision to slim our collection and focus on what we like best, timeless Italian footwear. One of the decided key styles of the collection was Venezia. This wholecut model really reflects and represents our design philosophy of straightforward elegance.
For this season we are proud to present an updated version of Venezia, based on our new and improved last. The shape is a bit more distinct and we have put a lot of effort in the finish of the leather. We could go on forever with new features, but the images really show the difference. We hope you will like it!
Venezia II will be available online next week..
Bresciani, the art of making socks
Great footwear requires great socks. Sadly this is an often-ignored detail, bought in mass series of poor quality. But once you have tried high quality socks you will never go back wearing to anything else.
We are very happy to be working with Bresciani, who makes some of the very best socks in the world. Their factory is located in the small village of Spirano, outside Bergamo in the north of Italy. It is a small family company who produces socks for some of the worlds most know brands.
At the moment we are carrying Bresciani over the calf socks in merino wool and nylon. The yarns are woven in 240 looms with hand linked toes for maximum comfort and fit. The nylon is used to increase the durability, especially in washing. The wool yarns are actually woven around the nylon so that the foot only get in contact with the wool. Available online and at Kyrkogatan 13 in Göteborg
All yarns are stored in a temperature and humidity adjusted depot, giving the fibres of the yarns the right performances.
For further reading we highly recommend a visit to the blog of Bresciani, which tells you all about the making of a pair of socks.
Greetings from Alagna
The Italigente way of skiing! Alagna, just 1,5 hours away from Milan is a small Italian town surrounded by some large mountains. The views are spectacular. This year’s snowing has so far been fairly poor, but yet Alagna and the Monterosa Ski Area offers good condition and some remarkable terrain for the good skier. A good place to stay is Montagnadiluce, famous mountain guide Sergio Gabbio’s own lodge. /
